Police Investigating Multiple Shootings on New Years Morning
Police Officers are investigating multiple shootings that occurred in the early hours on New Years' morning.
WKBW is reporting on a few different shootings that occurred in different parts of the city just a few hours into 2021.
After reports of shots fired on E. Ferry St. near Purdy at approx. 4:45 am, a 20-year-old male with a gunshot wound was driven to Buffalo's Oishei Children's Hospital. Medical professions then had him transported to the Erie County Medical Center. He's currently listed in stable condition.
Just a little bit later this morning a 23-year-old man showed up at Kenmore Mercy Hospital in Tonawanda with a gunshot to the leg. Medical staff stabilized him, and then an ambulance transferred him to ECMC for additional treatment after which he was released. Police officials say this shooting originally occurred on Maslch St. in Riverside.
There was a third shooting just minutes after the previous shooting in the vicinity of Fillmore Ave. and Utica St. where a 22-year-old male arrived at ECMC with a gunshot to the arm. He was also treated and released by medical professionals.
Police investigators have not released the names of any of the shooting victims.
