Police have identified another person of interest in the murder of Danielle Cretacci in the Town of Tonawanda, according to WIVB. Danielle was killed in her home on Ebling Avenue and her two children were injured in the attack. The shooting happened in August last year. Police got a warrant to search the person of interest's vehicle and home for any evidence related to the case.
The person of interest has not been identified by WIVB, as he or she has not been charged with any crime. The home Danielle and her children were living in belonged to John Guercio, co-owner of Guercio & Sons, a grocery store and restaurant on the west side of Buffalo. His attorney said that he allowed he r to stay in the home because she was having trouble finding housing and she was a former employee. Back in August of 2019, his lawyer Rob Singer told WIVB,
“He was a friend of Danielle and that is all. My belief is that John is no longer considered a suspect and that Tonawanda Police have moved forward with investigating other suspects/persons of interest."
