Parts of Buffalo Still Recovering from Windstorm
More than 24 hours after the windstorm that caused major damage around Western New York, thousands of Buffalo residents are still affected by widespread power outages.
National Grid reports that approximately 60,000 residents are still without power in Upstate New York.
Municipal and National Grid crews are working together through some challenging conditions to get services restored as soon as possible. Throughout the area there is still widespread flooding, downed trees, and impassable roads.
Please be careful if you’re out and about today. If you come across any downed power lines, assume they are carrying live electricity and do not touch. Report anything you see to 311 or National Grid.
