There was a security breach at Facebook where personal information was disclosed from over 533 million Facebook users all over the globe. Ironically, experts are calling it a "low level" hack even though, they have over 500 millions user information.

What do the hackers have? Data includes, phone numbers, full names, location, email address and biographical info. According to Business Insider:

Insider reviewed a sample of the leaked data and verified several records by matching known Facebook users' phone numbers with the IDs listed in the data set. We also verified records by testing email addresses from the data set in Facebook's password-reset feature, which can be used to partially reveal a user's phone number.

A Facebook spokesperson told Insider that the data had been scraped because of a vulnerability that the company patched in 2019.

The data that was leaked could be used for identity theft.

This is not the first time that Facebook has had an issue with people's personal information being leaked to hackers. In 2019, Facebook had to clean up a massive data breach that could have and did effect millions of users.
