Orleans County's September Health Inspections: Violations Revealed

Orleans County has published a list of restaurants that had health code violations during their latest inspections in September. Foodborne illnesses are a reality in America, even though we have strict hygiene rules. There have been plenty of food recalls and issues at restaurants in the news this year. That's why it is so important to support the restaurants that passed their health code inspections.

Health code inspectors issue violations for things like "Food not protected during storage, preparation, display, transportation and service, from potential sources of contamination (e.g., food uncovered, mislabeled, stored on floor, missing or inadequate sneeze guards, food containers double stacked)." Some restaurants are issued critical violations, such as "Food workers do not wash hands thoroughly after visiting the toilet, coughing, sneezing, smoking or otherwise contaminating their hands." There were 21 restaurants and other spots, like schools and legions, that did not pass their inspections.
