New York State Troopers Arrest Two WNY People In Separate Incidents
New York State Police made two separate arrests in Western New York. Troopers arrested a person in Dunkirk and another in Fredonia. On February 21, 2022, a 22-year-old woman was arrested in Fredonia after a traffic stop. Samantha Barron was arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs. She was also charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. Police searched her car after she failed several standardized field sobriety tests. During the search, they found heroin and crystal methamphetamine. She was transported to the State Police department in Fredonia where she was evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert. It was determined that she was under the influence of central nervous system stimulants and narcotics. She will appear in court in Dunkirk to face the charges in March.
New York State Troopers also arrested 45-year-old Dunkirk resident Julio Morales on February 22 on a charge of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle 3rd Degree.
