Five Must-See Concerts At This Year’s New York State Fair

If you were to ask just about any average New Yorker, they would likely agree that this is one of the best summers we've had in a very long time. We don't get a whole lot of warm weather around these parts, so when the thermometer starts to rise, millions of people from the Empire State try to pack in as much activity as possible in a few short months.

Many of the things that end up on our to-do list surround festivals and fairs that happen around the state. With just about every county having a fair, along with all sorts of cultural festivals happening all summer long, there is something to do just about every day of the week all summer long. With so much to choose from, there is one fair that just about everyone in the state is looking forward to, which also draws more than 1 million people to Central New York.

The 183rd New York State Fair is set to happen this month, and while you will absolutely have all of the usual and typical fair stuff to do, one of the great highlights of the fair is its entertainment schedule.

The powers that be at the Great New York State Fair go out of their way to ensure that people get great entertainment, and with tickets only costing $8, you get a whole lot of impressive entertainment at a very reasonable price.

More than 45 different concerts have been announced at the Fair's two entertainment venues, Chevy Court and Suburban Park. This year's concert line-up is one of the best we've seen in several years. With music for fans of every era and music genre, there is literally something for everyone. What an epic way to close out summer as the Fair's concert lineup is packed from the beginning of the fair on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, until the end of the Fair on Monday, September 1, 2025, which is Labor Day.
