One of the world's most famous dare devils is about to return to Western New York for a grand opening event!

In a news release from D'Youville College, it was announced that as a part of the grand opening of the Health Professions Hub, Nik Wallenda will trek over the campus on Thursday June 17th.

According to the report,

Wallenda, known as “King of the High Wire,” is an American acrobat, aerialist, daredevil, high wire artist, and author. He is best known as the first person to walk an international wire over Niagara Falls on June 15, 2012, almost nine years to the day of the D’Youville event.

There are more details coming soon about this really fun and cool event! As far as the new space on the capmus, organizers explained that...

D’Youville’s newly constructed Health Professions Hub is designed to address several critical healthcare needs in the region, provide much needed primary care services to residents of the West Side, and offer a space where D’Youville students can gain essential clinical experience.

I remember watching Wallenda on a few occasions around Western New York. The walk over the Erie County Fair, the walk on the Liberty Building in Buffalo and the famous walk over Niagara Falls! The Falls walk was incredible. Hearing what eh was saying as he walked above the rushing water was one of the neatest televised things in recent memory. I wasn't sure if it was over hyped. It turned out to be one of those memories that you can say you know exactly where you were when it happened!
