These 8 Buffalo Streets Had The Most Shootings Last Year
Buffalo has been plagued by gun violence for years and the number of people killed by guns has been increasing recently. We actually had the highest rate of violent crimes committed with guns in the state. We are losing mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, and children to this epidemic. It not only affects those who choose that lifestyle, but many innocent bystanders have lost their lives. Families and communities alike are being destroyed by the deadly decisions of just a small percentage of people. In 2021 alone, we lost at least 57 people to gun violence. These Buffalo streets had the most shootings in 2021 - both with fatalities and injuries.

Join Us For A Town Hall About Preventing Youth Violence In Buffalo
Power 93.7 WBLK will be hosting a town hall about preventing youth violence in Buffalo. Join Yasmin Young and our special guests starting at 10 am on Saturday, February 26 for the on-air conversation. For an hour on Saturday morning, we'll stop the music to talk about this important issue facing our community. We are losing too many young people to violence and the streets. It's spilling over into our schools and has long-term effects on the youth. We've asked community leaders, members of anti-violence community groups, and the City to be a part of the discussion.
Our guests for this special program are:
Pastor Giles - Back To Basics Outreach Ministries & Buffalo Peacemakers
Rasheed N.C. Wyatt - University District Councilmember
Daryl "DJ" Scott - Buffalo SNUG
La Shawn Davis, LMSW - City of Buffalo, Youth Counselor
Jackie Croom - Most Valuable Parents of Buffalo
Jihad Green - Buffalo Peacemakers, Speaker, Youtube Influencer
Be sure to join us Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 10 am to 11 am. You can listen with the WBLK app, at WBLK.com, or on your radio.
