The internets has been buzzing over the last few days as New York State officials raid a private residence and animal sanctuary to seize a famous pet squirrel and pet raccoon, which the state law enforcement officials later killed.

In the days that have passed since the state killed the pet rodent and mammal, outrage has abounded all over the world as more people have begun to speak up against the actions of New York State. If that wasn't enough, several state offices were ordered closed, and thousands of state employees were sent home after a series of bomb threats were called in all over the Empire State.

Now that state officials have declared open season on squirrels and raccoons that don't live in the wild; we need to identify who or what additional animals might be in danger of being seized by state officials or agents from the local Department of Health.

Be On The Lookout For These Potentially Wanted Squirrels

According to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservationseveral types of squirrels are native to the Empire State. In addition to the Eastern Gray Squirrel, which is the type Peanut (P'Nut) was, we have Fox Squirrels, Red Squirrels, Flying Squirrels, Eastern Chipmunks, and Woodchucks.

Given recent actions by state officials, these squirrels better stay out of New York if they know what's good for them.

  • Among the squirrels that need to ensure they are minding their Ps and Qs are chipmunks, which are part of the squirrel family. So, if you, or anyone you know, have contact information for Alvin and the Chipmunks, you better tell them to stay out of New York.

Hopefully, these rodents and mammals will get the message from the Empire State that their social media antics will no longer be tolerated in the Great State of New York.
