"Unlike other research that focuses primarily on academic outcomes or school finance, WalletHub’s analysis takes a more comprehensive approach. It accounts for performance, funding, safety, class size and instructor credentials." ~ WalletHub

The WalletHub study used 33 key measures to compare all 50 states, along with the District of Columbia. The study looked at factors like schools' student to teacher ratio, standardized-test scores, drop-out rates and more.  New York ranked at #12 on the list of 2020’s States with the Best & Worst School Systems.  Number one is the best, 51 is the worst, so overall, we did really well.  Massachusetts was #1, the state with the best school systems, while New Mexico was #51, the state with the worst school systems.  You can see the full list here.
