
Everything You Need To Know To Vote Early For New York State’s Local Elections
It's hard to beleive it, but election season is here again, and for the next 10 days, people all over the Empire State have a chance to get an early jump on the 2025 General Election. For the last few years, people have not had to wait until election day to cast their vote. So, even though we're just about two weeks away from Tuesday, November 4th, election day, you can fulfill your civic duty by exercising your right to vote in New York State anytime over the next week and a half.
Coming off of an extremely important national election in 2024, which has caused a big shift in American policy, we now focus on state, county, and local elections in the United States of America, and all over the Empire State, there are countless offices that need to be filled.
Early Voting In New York Is Available For The 2025 General Election
Thanks to a law that then-Governor Andrew Cuomo signed in 2019, New Yorkers get 10 early voting days ahead of the general election. This year's Early Voting Period starts on Saturday, October 25, 2024, at 9 a.m. and runs every day until Sunday, November 2nd at 5 p.m.
All over the state, there are hundreds of different locations where people can cast their vote early. In Erie County, New York, there are nearly 40 different locations where you can cast your vote, and vote at any place you choose. There are 11 separate locations in Buffalo, with the remaining 27 locations spread throughout the suburbs around Buffalo.
In Niagara County, New York, there are five different locations where you can vote, and Niagara County residents can vote at these locations.

If there is one thing that we should have learned from the 2024 elections, it's that voting is important and can literally impact your life.
