A Judge Rules On New York’s Controversial Congestion Tolls
A judge has ruled on New York's controversial congestion pricing. Trump, who usually screams states' rights at the top of his lungs (when it benefits him), has threatened to withhold funding from New York, as well as federal approval for transportation projects in the state. Trump is against Governor Kathy Hochul's congestion toll program.
The New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority says that congestion pricing benefits New York residents by reducing traffic coming into the city.
"New Yorkers lose 117 hours on average sitting in traffic every year, costing them nearly $2,000 in lost productivity and wasted time. Plus, more traffic means more air pollution and associated health impacts."

Judge Rules In Favor Of New York, Against Trump
In yet another court case that Trump has lost, even if temporarily, a judge has ruled against him. All these federal court cases he is losing are costing taxpayers, since we are the ones who fund his lawyers and the fees associated with the court. U.S. District Judge Lewis Liman dealt a blow to Trump and his attorneys. On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, Judge Liman blocked the Trump regime's moves to stop New York's congestion pricing.
The judge ruled that the MTA demonstrated its claims would likely succeed. He ruled that the MTA would suffer “irreparable harm” unless a temporary restraining order was put in place against Trump, according to Bloomberg. The judge has blocked Trump's efforts to stop congestion pricing through June 9, while he further considers the case.
