A New Steakhouse Is Expected To Open This Summer In Downtown Buffalo

There will soon be a new restaurant for steaks in Buffalo. Now, in addition to offering a bite to eat at the Atrium Bar & Bistro and Starbucks, the Hyatt Regency Buffalo Hotel and Conference Center, located at Two Fountain Plaza in downtown Buffalo, plans to have steak back on the menu.

Morton's The Steakhouse, which was located at the hotel from 2017 to December 31, 2019, closed the location without notice. Two years later, plans are in place to open Bull+Buffalo this summer. According to WGRZ, restaurateur Chris Harter is working with developer Douglas Jemal, who purchased the Hyatt building, to create the new restaurant.

Even though we have lost some great spots, there are tons of new restaurants opening, so we should have plenty of options for all the foodies in Buffalo.

1. Old Homestead Steakhouse - 4.2 Stars

3. 677 Prime - 4.6 Stars

677 Prime offers two Wagyu options, the most costly steaks on its menu. First, there is the 12-ounce Wagyu NY Strip Snake River Farms Gold Label for $125. Or, you can go really big-budget and order the Snow Aged Japanese Wagyu 30 day aged A5 grade, Niigata Prefecture, which comes 2-ounce increments at $40 per ounce (a 6-ounce servicing will set you back $240). 677 Prime's food menu is available here.

4. TS Steakhouse at Turning Stone Resort Casino - 4.6 Stars

TS Steakhouse is so expensive they don't list their prices on the menu, lol. But just know that it will be on the higher end of the average person's budget. They offer an 8-ounce Filet Mignon, 20-ounce Bone-In Rib-eye, 26-ounce T-Bone, 16-ounce Prime Rib (As Available) and a 16-ounce NY Strip. The full food menu can be viewed here.

5. Babbo Ristorante e Enoteca - 4.3 Stars

The Grilled Porterhouse for Two is $160 at Babbo and is accompanied by Fingerling Potatoes and Tuscan "Intingolo." You can see Babbo's menu here.

6. Ruth's Chris Steak House - 4.5 Stars

While Ruth's Chris is another steakhouse that doesn't list its prices on its online menu, the 40-ounce Tomahawk for Two is around $155, according to its Facebook page.

7. Tournedos Steakhouse - 4.6 Stars

It offers an A5 Japanese Wagyu Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture - 100% Tajima Cattle 4 ounce Beef Tenderloin with Ponzu Sauce and paired with a Nigori Sake for $136. For about half of that, you could get Wagyu Strip Steak (Regular Cut) for $72. View Tournedos full menu here.
