NEW MUSIC: Fabolous – “So N.Y.” Brooklyn rapper Fabolous has been silent for the past couple of months, but it seems Lil Wayne’s comment about blatantly disliking New York touched the rapper's nerves. This week, Fab released “So N.Y.,” a track that’s reminiscent of the more aggressive and lyrically provoking Fabolous and even has a couple of jabs at New York’s biggest names, such as P. Diddy, Jay-Z and 50 Cent.

“I’m so New York, Weezy probably don’t like me.”

ALBUM ARTWORK: Kendrick Lamar – Good Kid, m.A.A.d City. Kendrick Lamar has almost single-handedly brought the buzz back to California, aside from radio sensation Tyga. The XXL 2011 freshman’s debut album is set to hit stores on October 22, and the album artwork has leaked. The Compton rapper got his inspiration from his family albums. The above cover is of the regular edition; the deluxe edition takes a more simplistic approach, which you can peep below.

The promo video he did for MPC Renaissance did more to accentuate his own abilities on the electronic instrument than anything.

NEW MUSIC: J. Cole – “I’m a Fool”. With “The Cure” fresh on fan’s minds, UB Fall Fest 2012 headliner J. Cole has graced his fans with new music, ironically through his fans as well. After a simple tweet from a North Carolinian fan asking when his track “I’m a Fool” would be ready, J. Cole decided to give his fan “the juice.” The fan was the first to hear the track, and the rapper immediately released the track to the public thereafter. Take a listen!

NEW MUSIC/PENDING HIP-HOP BEEF: Diggy Simmons – “Fall Down”. The problems between J. Cole and Diggy Simmons have been around a while. Last year, Diggy reacted to a J. Cole lyric he believed was aimed at his older sister, Vanessa Simmons. The former “Run’s House” star and J. Cole have since ended their problems, but after a video emerged last week during an appearance at a Kendrick Lamar show, things have gotten heavy again. Diggy has dropped probably his strongest track to date, attacking J.Cole on “Fall Down,” which you can listen to below.
