Nearly 1,000 Votes Cast on First Day of Early Voting in Buffalo
Early voting for the 2021 New York State Primary Elections kicked off on Saturday, June 12, 2021, in communities throughout New York State.
According to reporting by WKBW-TV, 904 people voted on the first day of Early Voting in Erie County.
Officials are hoping voter turnout is improved this year when compared to previous years. Elections for Erie County Sheriff and Buffalo Mayor, among other offices, are happening this cycle and that should help encourage people to come out and vote.
Early voting continues until 6p on Sunday, June 20, 2021. If you haven't voted yet, you can vote early at any on of the 37 Early Voting Locations in Erie County and 2 Early Voting locations in Niagara County.
