This New York City Now Has It’s Own Famous Board Game
It might be hard to believe right now, but summertime will be back in Western New York before you know it. After this winter we've had this year, you would think people would rush outside to make sure they enjoy summer like they never have before. It doesn't matter what we're doing; we just want to be outside doing something that does not include hanging out in the house.
However, just over a year after a huge announcement was made by Hasbro and the Rochester Chamber of Commerce, folks who live around the Flower City finally have a reason to stay inside for a little bit, and you won't want to pass go. Still, you will want to stay home and collect $200.

Since the 1930s, Monopoly has been played by families all over the country, and now people who live in the 585 will be able to play and hop their pieces around places like RIT, the Strasenburgh Planetarium, the Strong National Museum of Play, all while dodging garbage plates on the board.

Rochester is yet another Empire State city to be honored with an official version of Monopoly dedicated to the area, with The Hamptons as the other version. There was once a limited Buffalo Edition of Monopoly. Still, it was only available briefly to help benefit Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and the John R. Oishei Children's Hospital.
