The Minority Bar Foundation Inc. will be hosting its first Awards Ceremony. Get the details! The Ceremony will be held on Thursday, August 15th, starting at 5 pm. The event will take place at The Mansion, located at 414 Delaware Ave in Buffalo! "Each year The Foundation recognizes law practitioners and students for dedication and achievement in the profession, academia, and people and organizations that serve minority communities," according to a press release from The Minority Bar Foundation.

The 2019 honorees are:

Justice Rose B. Sconiers Trailblazer Award – Justice Shirley Troutman
Honorable Hugh B. Scott, Jr. Lifetime Achievement Award – David Edmunds, Jr., Esq.
Legal Service Award – Robert J. Kresse, Esq.
Community Service Award – Anita Williams, Executive Director of Taking It To The Streets
John L. Hargrave Student Award – Arrianna Hart, J.D. Candidate 2020, UB School of Law
Education Award – Katie Campos, Executive Director of Teach For America Buffalo
President’s Award — Terrence McKelvey, Esq.
