SNL Alum Shows Buffalo Love On Late Show
Last night former Saturday Night Live member and movie superstar showed the City of Buffalo some love by wearing a Sabres jersey and sending a special message to the residents of the city.
Myers was just introduced by Late Show Host, Stephan Colbert, when he walked out wearing a Buffalo Sabres jersey.
Colbert then asked Myers about the jersey and that is when Mike Myers said that we wanted to send some love to Buffalo after the horrific shooting that took place on Jefferson Ave last Saturday.
Myers who grew up in Toronto stated that he always thought of Buffalo, which is just a two-hour drive away, as the city's southern neighbors. He said he was moved to wear the jersey because he was thinking about the city and the residents and wanted to show them that the world is behind the families and community.
Myers is a big hockey fan and has been known to support his hometown Toronto Mapleleafs during his TV shows and movies.
Community leaders and non-profits are still looking for volunteers and donations to help those affected by the Jefferson Ave shooting. After players and owners of The Buffalo Bills spent time this week helping out, they have created a resource guide offering different ways that you can help the community that has been affected by the events of this past weekend.
