Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston's respective music careers will be celebrated in a new Las Vegas musical called 'The Man.' The fictional show will detail the rise of the late pop icons through the eyes of a manager.

The Sin City revue is being produced by Michael's former management team of Mark Lamica, Quincy Krashna, Jerry Greenberg, Raymond Del Barrio and Larry Hart. The project is describedl as a cross between 'Goodfellas' and 'Dreamgirls.'

"We want this project to be a compelling, gritty, entertaining tale, that tells the story of the price of fame in a new way," Lamica told the Associated Press (via the Grio).

'The Man,' which focuses on MJ and Nippy's career from the 1980s to 2005, is scheduled to premiere in Las Vegas in 2013, and features original music by Grammy Award-winning composer Larry Hart. "This is a fictional template and story that, with some variation, fits a number of global celebrities," Lamica said.
