McKinley High Student Involved in Violent Altercation with Teacher

Fights between student and teachers in Buffalo seems to be getting out-of-hand! A McKinley High School student has been arrested after a violent fight with a teacher, but the teacher may have provoked the attack, according to a parents' group!

The incident happened earlier this month at McKinley High School. Samuel Radford, who is the president of Buffalo schools District Parent Coordinating Council, has accused the teacher of provoking the student, who is Black. The teacher is White.

"He provoked the student, he did not follow the district policy on how to do an intervention with a child. He did not use restorative practices, he did not do anything that would have helped de-escalate the situation."

Buffalo has a reputation of a high rate of suspension of Black males, according to WIVB.
