Mandela Memorial At Merriweather Today

Join Assemblywoman Crystal Peoples Stokes and the We are Women Warriors tonight in a final farewell to the legendary Nelson Mandela!

Members of the public are invited to share their thoughts about the late South African leader Nelson Mandela in a memorial program from 5:30 to 7:45 p.m. Wednesday in the Frank E. Merriweather Jr. Library, 1324 Jefferson Ave.

Those who attend may read an excerpt aloud from one of Mandela’s books, recite a poem or watch a movie in his honor. For information, call Grant’s office at 602-5877.
