A man was shot in Buffalo on Saturday night. According to WKBW, the shooting happened in the area of MLK Park in Buffalo on Kehr Street. The 54-year-old male victim was shot during a gathering on March 20, 2021. He was taken by a private vehicle to Erie County Medical Center. He is reportedly listed in stable condition. Buffalo Police Launch Online Crime Reporting Alternative
Meanwhile, the Buffalo Police Department has launched an online alternative to 911. According to WIVB, this new service is available for people to report crimes if they don't know who the suspect is. WIVB states that the type of crimes that can be reported via the Department's website include,
Crimes the department says can be reported online include property crimes, identity theft, vandalism, harassing phone calls, lost property and hit and runs.
People in need of a police report for insurance purposes will be able to get a report within 48-hours, according to the Department. Buffalo Police Commissioner Byron Lockwood told WIVB that the tool improves efficiency,
“This on-line reporting will allow for citizens to quickly file police reports at their convenience without having to wait for officers to arrive on scene. This service is yet another example of how the Buffalo Police are always looking to become more efficient and to better serve our community."
