Man Pees On Buffalo Woman’s House, Then Threatens Her With Illegal Gun
Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced that a North Carolina man was arraigned on multiple charges for allegedly urinating on a Buffalo woman's home and threatening her with a gun. The 33-year-old man from Concord, NC, was arraigned before Buffalo City Court Judge Shannon M. Heneghan on the morning of Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Devin D. Brown is facing the following charges for the incident:
Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree (Class “C” violent felonies)
One count of Menacing in the Second Degree (Class “A” misdemeanor)
One count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Class “A” misdemeanor)
One count of Public Lewdness (Class “B” misdemeanor)
On Tuesday, April 5, just before 7 pm, Brown allegedly urinated on the side of the victim's home on Millicent Avenue in Buffalo. When the female homeowner confronted the defendant, he allegedly pointed a gun at her and threatened her. He allegedly retrieved a second firearm from his vehicle and also pointed it at the victim, while her three children were watching. When Buffalo Police confronted the victim, they found both weapons, which were illegal - one on the Brown's person and the other in his car. District Attorney John Flynn said,
I am deeply disturbed by these allegations as well as the amount of bail set in this case. The defendant is accused of exposing himself, urinating on a home, then pointing an illegal gun at the victim twice – all in the presence of three children. This defendant lives out of state and I am concerned that he is a potential flight risk. We will be aggressively prosecuting this case and seeking an increase in bail.
His bail was set at $7,500. Brown is due back in court on Monday, April 11, at 9:30 am. He could spend 15 years behind bars if he is convicted of all of the charges against him.
