‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ Season 4, Episode 3 Recap: Stevie J Heads to Rehab, Erica Serves Scrappy With Court Order, Sina and Khadijah Fight Over Yung Joc
In the world of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, not every cast member gets screen time in each episode. Last week, Erica Dixon was missing in action, but she kicks off episode three with a visit to her lawyer regarding Scrappy's failure to pay child support.
The rapper owes about $45,000 (yikes!). Due to the hefty amount, Erica's lawyer says that they can bring Scrappy to court and get him arrested. While she's upset with Scrappy, this breaks Erica's heart because of his past run-ins with the law. However, she knows what she needs to do and signs the papers to serve Scrappy.
Of course, it's not long before Momma Dee gets involved. She tries to reason with Erica and says that Scrappy loves their daughter, Emani. But Erica isn't budging on this situation and reminds her he still owes $45,000 in back child support. By the end of the conversation, Dee gets up and tells Erica that they'll see her in court.
Erica meets up with Rasheeda Frost to talk about their issues with their respective men and businesses. After venting about her issues with her husband Kirk, his new condo and her intention to move forward with her company, Rasheeda mentions a store opening Karlie Redd is involved in, which Erica is completely unaware of. She's about to get to the bottom of this and confront her former business partner at the opening -- now this could get ugly.
Meanwhile, the Yung Joc, Sina and Khadiyah (aka KD), love triangle heats up. Baby mama Sina shows up at the studio and Joc is instantly attracted to her. But Sina wants to talk to Joc about becoming a family unit once again. But KD stops this conversation when she also stops by the studio, which she has helped Joc pay for in order for him to work on some new music.
Although KD is calm, Sina isn't. And they all start to have a discussion about what Joc has been up to with both women. When Sina reveals that she and the rapper are still having sex, Joc says nothing and tries to take his baby mama out of the studio instead. She struggles against him, but it's no use.
Khadiyah needs to find out the truth and asks Sina to have a drink with her. The five-minute conversation ends with Sina telling KD she will do anything in her power to get Joc back so they can build their family. She takes things to another level by planting a camera in her living room and seduces Joc, which is all caught on video to prove to Khadiyah that Joc's been cheating on her.
Stevie J and Joseline Hernandez head out to Tangu Rehab Center, where he'll undergo treatment for addiction. Being the supportive other half, she gives him as much love and support as she can. While Joseline is sad that he'll be in rehab for 30 days, she works on her career and rehearses "Stingy With My Kutty Kat" in the studio. Karlie pays her a visit to see what's going down and also talks about deading her business plans with Erica to link up with another business partner, Nyisha, in Las Vegas -- she revealed this news to Rasheeda in last week's episode.
Karlie also meets up with former cast mate K. Michelle, who's in town to handle some business. She brings along aspiring singer Jessica Dime, who just moved to the ATL. Michelle and Jessica apparently know each other from Memphis, so they go way back. Karlie brings Michelle and Jessica up to speed about Mimi Faust's music management company, how Mimi and Stevie are working together and the fact he's going to the rehab. Then Karlie shares that her new store, Merci Boutique, opens in a few days.
Mimi has a lot to handle with Nikko London threatening her for 25 percent of her book deal and Stevie leaving her to run the new company on her own. So she enlists the help of Deb Antney (Waka Flocka's mom), who tells her to just write the books and get it all over with. While writing her story, Deb lets her know she doesn't have to get so detailed with her life experiences so that she can release more books in the future. When it comes to Joseline, Deb says for the sake of Stevie and Mimi's daughter she needs to call a truce because Joseline is here to stay.
In the meantime, Joseline is trying on wedding dresses while we see clips of Stevie going through the rehab program. Mimi ends up giving in and meets with Joseline, but the conversation doesn't go very well. Of course they start bickering and Mimi just walks away.
The episode ends with the opening of Karlie's boutique and everyone shows up including Jessica Dime and K. Michelle. But more importantly, Erica and Rasheeda make an appearance to check out what's going down, which ends with the two arguing with Karlie. Jessica decides to put in her two cents, but since Erica and Rahseeda don't know her, they call her out for getting involved in business that doesn't concern her. And what could have been a fun store opening turns into one crazy circus.
Tune in next week to see what happens next in the land of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.
