Lockport Woman Sentenced After Stealing $380,000 from Employer
A Lockport woman was living her best life - financed by $387,000 she stole from her employer. Kathleen Donhauser, who is old enough to be a grandma (or great-grandma nowadays) at the age of 63, has been sentenced for embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars from Hart Hotels, where she worked as a personal banker. She admitted to using her stolen loot to pay off her credit cards. According to WIVB, she was sentenced on Thursday, May 27, 2021, to five years on probation for her crime.

Her days of living 'high on the hog' are over, as part of her punishment is paying restitution. Donhauser has managed to pay back $183,092, but the judge ordered her to pay the remaining $206,094.73. She pleaded guilty to third-degree grand larceny. She took the Money from Hart over the course of almost four years, from May 14, 2013, to April 19, 2017, according to the Erie County District Attorney’s Office.
She must have been ballin' out with that kind of money. She had been facing up to 7 years in prison, so I feel like she got off pretty easy with probation. I was watching this BET show called 'American Gangster: Trap Queens,' and one of the episodes was about a woman who embezzled money from colleges where she worked in the financial aid offices. She actually served prison time and stole way less money.
