Law & Order Actor to Speak at Buffalo State Graduation

A Law & Order actor and Buffalo-native will be speaking at Buffalo State College's graduation.

Actor Jesse Martin, who is known for his role as Detective Ed Green on Law & Order, will be at Buffalo State on May 18th for graduation, according to WKBW! He will speak at both the undergrad and grad ceremonies. He will also be presented with a SUNY honorary doctor of fine arts degree. He was born in Virginia, but his family moved to Buffalo when he was in school. He attended elementary school at Campus School/College Learning Laboratory, which was on Buff State's campus. He also attended the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts.

I also, very proudly, accept the Honorary Doctorate that your amazing institution has offered to bestow upon me. It is not lost on me the degree of importance this honor carries. As a child of the Buffalo Public School system, who attended elementary school on your beautiful campus, this is a dream come true.”
