Legendary Coach Will Not be Returning to Syracuse

Syracuse University has a rich history of College sports. From Jim Brown and Ernie David to Carmello Anthony and so many others, SU has produced world-class championship teams and athletes.

It has also featured well-recognized coaches in football and basketball, but perhaps none bigger than Jim Boeheim.

The face of Syracuse basketball for 47 years, who won a National Championship with Carmelo Anthony and made multiple Final 4 appearances, is retiring.

For for his famed zone defense, Boeheim had an unbelievable record of 1,015 wins and 441 losses. That includes having 101 wins taken away for NCAA Violations.

SU Basketball had struggled in recent years, but none more than this past season. The Orange went 17 - 15 losing to Wake Forest in the ACC tournament, failing to reach to NCAA tournament.

Boeheim was always known for his feisty interviews with press while also a giving member of the Syracuse and Central New York Community. We'll have more on Boeheim's legacy soon.
