J. Cole brought his KOD tour to Buffalo and it was nothing short of amazing.  This was only the Fayetteville rapper’s 2nd time in Buffalo since becoming a mainstream artist and he admitted to “sleeping” on the town saying he didn’t know what to expect in Upstate New York.  The arena was packed with Dreamville fans that were eager to see the rapper.  His opening acts included Earth Gang, a Atlanta based rapping and singing duo and Young Thug.  The most interesting thing happened before Earth Gang and Thugger stepped on stage though.  Kill Edward made an appearance and opened up the show performing his song “Tidal Wave”. What most people don’t know is “Kill Edward” is actually J. Cole.  Cole opened his own show!!!!

Once Cole hopped on stage, he took us through the entire KOD album from top to bottom breaking down the meaning behind the songs and discussing the process and the emotions that he felt during the process.  But of course he had to give us a dose of the old vibes too.  J. Cole hit us with hits from his previous 4 albums including Work Out, Power Trip, Wet Dreams, GOMD, and Neighbors.

All in all the concert was incredible and if you went, I’m sure you left inspired. During a break before performing Love Yourz, he acknowledged that as one of his favorite songs he’d ever written.  He spoke to the audience about making sure that you deal with your personal pains and demons before you can accept growth and love into your life.  Check out this video below
