Massive Twitter Outage for Everyone in New York State

If you're trying to get on Twitter, AKA 'X', you won't be able to right now.

A massive global outage has taken down the popular social media site and app. People from around the world, let alone in New York and the United States, are reporting that the Elon Musk service is down. It seemed to go down early this morning, come back around 10:30 AM ET, and then go down again.

DownDector.com, which reports service outages for many sites, confirms many are having issues. There were over 28,000 reports of an outage as of this story's posting. More than half of the complaints are based on the app, while 33% are from the X Website.

There has been no response by Twitter thus far, but this is a developing story.

For some, the website does initially come up, but all feeds fail to load.

The last time there was a big X outage was last August, when 66% of users had issues.

Mush bought the service in 2022 for a whopping $44 Billion, then changed the name from Twitter to X in 2023. Many still call it Twitter.

It will be interesting to see how long the outage continues. Also, it will be interesting to learn why it happened. For some, Musk and X have been very divisive. Some hackers are known to target large businesses and divisive individuals.
