Tuesday's Mega Millions "Big Money" Winners In New York

Tuesday night was a lucky night for some Mega Millions lottery players in New York State.

The New York State Lottery announced that four "Big Money" winning tickets were sold from last night's drawing. Each one of those tickets matched 4 out of five numbers and had the Megaball. Each one of those tickets will take home the 3rd place prize of $10,000.

The odds of winning the 3rd place $10,000 prize for the Mega Millions are 1-931,001.

There were also 47 4th-place-winning tickets sold in New York. Each one of those tickets matched four out of five numbers and won $500. The odds of winning the 4th place Mega Millions prize is 1 in 38,792

Tuesday's winning Mega Millions numbers were: 6-18-26-27-40 with a Megaball of 4

No one claimed the grand prize so the jackpot for Friday's drawing is up to $607 million dollars. If someone were to win that prize, it would be a record-setting one here in New York State.

Harold Diamond held the record for the largest lottery jackpot in New York for seven years. He took home the Mega Millions jackpot in 2014.

2. $432 Million Dollars

This winning Mega Millions ticket was sold in September of 2021. The NY Lottery does not know who owns the tickets.

1. $476 Million Dollars

Johnnie Taylor took home the jackpot from the Mega Millions drawing in April of 2023.
