This Sunday the Erie County Sheriff's Mounted Reserve Unit will be holding their semi-annual food drive at the Broadway Market.

The Sheriff's Mounted Reserve Unit and their horses will be in front of the Broadway Market from 11 am until 2 pm for their food drive called, “Mounted for Meals”.

EXTRA: CHECK OUT THE EASTER FUN AT THE BROADWAY MARKET

The unit will be collecting perishable and non-perishable food items as well as cash donations.

The donations collected will be given to The Response to Love Center. This year there is a major need for hams, potatoes, and diapers.


The Response to Love Center's mission is to improve the lives across our community by first addressing basic human needs. During this holiday season and with tough economic times for so many, the need is greater than ever.

Last year, the  Erie County Sheriff's Mounted Reserve Unit collected over 2000 lbs of food and over $3000 in monetary donations during their two food drives. They are hoping to start off 2024 with a big collection of money and food.
