Here in Western New York, we know wings, and we know pizza, and we have found the best sweet pizza sauce in the 716.

Pizza is a little different here in Western New York. We like a thicker, chewier crust along with cupped pepperonis and, of course, a sweeter sauce on our pies. Many people don't think about the sauce, but it can make or break a pizza, especially for Western New York.

Earlier this week, I had a chance to try Cusimano's Pizzeria in Lockport. They brought in several different types of pizzas, including one that was loaded up with their sweet sauce, and it might have been the best I ever had.

The sauce was sweet, but still had some tangy notes and blended perfectly with their crust and cupped pepperonis.
