If you are one of the thousands of angry or frustrated drivers who have a complaint or question about a New York State Toll By Mail, there is a meeting you do not want to miss. The New York State Thruway officials have announced that there is an outreach meeting that will take place on Grand Island that offers an opportunity to get some answers and some help.

If you don't have an EZPass and are traveling on the New York State Thruway, you will be charged via the mail after your license plate is scanned when you are driving on the Thruway. It is annoying. However, having an EZPass can really make things less frustrating and convenient for those who travel often.

What can you do when you get a Toll By Mail? Do you have the right to dispute the charges that you got? What if someone has taken your license plate and used it on another vehicle? Does the toll reader pick up on trailer plates?

The New York State Tolls By Mail Outreach

I have been hearing from many people about how frustrated they are with the toll system in New York. However, there are some ways to get discounts, and there are incentives for those who drive on the Thruway.

But if you want to state your case and ask questions or sign up for EZ Pass, this is one you may want to be present for, and there are multiple sessions.

The event is taking place at the new Welcome Center on Grand Island, and the Thruway Authority says, "Customers should be prepared to provide as much account information as possible, including name, address, phone number, license plate #, E-ZPass/Tolls by Mail account # or violation # and description of issue".
