Stefon Diggs Says That He Wants to Retire in Buffalo

The Buffalo Bills are officially back to work, as they wrapped up the first practice at St. John Fisher University on Wednesday.

The Bills aren't the national media darlings they were a year ago, as that playoff loss to the Cincinnati Bengals left a sour taste in mouths. Despite the Bills roster being as good as it was last year on paper (without the injuries this time), many are picking the Chiefs, Bengals and even Jets and Dolphins to finish above the Bills in the AFC standings.

Wednesday was a big day for the media and fans, as star wide receiver Stefon Diggs finally spoke with the media for the first time in months.

Diggs' absence from OTA's and his departure from the first day of minicamp in June was a big story in Western New York, and Diggs said that situation was a "family matters" moment and that everything that needed to be said, was said. He will keep those conversations in-house and that it's behind him.

Diggs was asked whether he wanted to end his career in Buffalo and Diggs said, "100 percent."

Diggs is 29 years old and will turn 30 during the season. He will likely have another two years of great football ahead, with another 3-5 years remaining in his career. The Bills would likely need to extend his current contract to make that happen.

During his meeting with the media, Diggs said he was frustrated about the way last season ended and that he wants to win a Super Bowl. Added he loves Josh Allen and the team and is ready to work.
