It looks like the 2026 snowmobile season will be a good one for New Yorkers. We had plenty of snow across New York State in December, and it looks like that will continue this month, meaning snowmobile trails should be in good shape.

Plenty Of Snow For Snowmobilers In New York State

I have several friends who ride snowmobiles, and at least once a year, they will make a trip to the Northern part of New York to ride the trails along the Tug Hill area. The good news is that early winter forecasts are calling for plenty of snow in that area.

No Snow This Week In New York State?

This might not be the week you want to head out to hit the snowmobile trails. While we will have some light snow today, there is a warmup coming our way this week.

Temperatures are expected to reach into the 40s across parts of New York State. Rain showers could also move in later this week, which could melt some of the snow on the trails that is already there.
