After a week of above-average mild weather across Western New York, we are getting a reminder that it is still winter time across the 716.

Snow Returns To Western New York

It started Friday night, and the snow will continue through the weekend, ending up dumping several inches of snow across Western New York by the time we head back to work and the kids head back to school on Monday.


Overall, some places in Western New York, mainly in the southtowns and Southern Tier, will get up to 6 or 7 inches of snow. Elsewhere around Western New York, snow totals will be between 2 and 6 inches. It looks like most of us will be shoveling snow at some point this weekend.

Snow Continues Next Week In Western New York

It looks like we will get a nice shot of winter to wrap up the month of February. The National Weather Service in Buffalo's long-range forecast has snow for all of next week. The snow will be the heaviest on Wednesday and Thursday, before we get some sunshine next Friday.

So far this winter, Buffalo has received 81.6 inches of snow, which is around 10 inches more than normal for this time of year and it looks like we will add to that total this weekend and next week.
