New App Can Help With Snow Removal In Buffalo
You thought when the season started that you'd be ok to take care of your own snow removal this year, but now you're having second thoughts? This could help.
It always seems like something you can handle. Then you hear the news reports or you actually see it piling up on your deck and driveway and you start to panic. "How am I going to get rid of all this snow?"
There's an app for that
You might remember the old commercial for iPhones that claimed "There's an app for that." It's true. There really is an app for just about everything these days. No matter what service you're looking for, if you have the money to pay for it, you can get just about anything done with an app.
That applies to snow removal too.
This app can help with snow removal
Back in the day, people used to send their kids out to make a little extra money by shoveling out people's driveways. It was a good way for them to pad their piggy banks a little and it taught them about a good work ethic. But it's a different world now. You don't see that as much.
However, there are still people who will come to shovel or plow out your driveway if you need help. It's an app called Plowz & Mowz. They call themselves an on-demand snow removal service.
How does Plowz & Mowz work?
It's kind of like the Uber of snow removal (and lawn care in the summer). If you find that you need your driveway plowed, or you need a walkway or deck shoveled, you just order it through the app and they'll send a professional to your house to get the job done.
It's a good idea if you choose not to sign a contract with someone for the entire year and you just want to pay when it snows. Or maybe if you have an elderly parent that needs their driveway cleared and you just won't be able to get to them to help.
What are the negatives?
It sounds like an incredible idea but just like everything, it does have its drawbacks. You have to remember when you're ordering your help, you won't be paying $5 like you're paying a kid down the street to do it. You're paying for convenience here.
Also, if they get busy, there's no guarantee that you'll get plowed out in a certain amount of time. When someone becomes available, they'll get you in.
But it's huge to know that there's a service like this that can help to get you out to the grocery store (or to the game) when you need to.
