First Coach Interview Scheduled for Buffalo Bills Head Coaching Job
The Buffalo Bills have been a hot topic all over the sports and Western New York world this week. After their exit from the NFL Playoffs on Saturday, they fired beloved Buffalo Bills Head Coach, Sean McDermott. Here are some interviews the Bills will be conducting.
There are at least 6 interviews scheduled that we know about for the Buffalo Bills head coaching position:
- Joe Brady
- Brian Daboll
- Lou Anarumo
- Anthony Lynn
- Anthony Weaver
- Grant Udinski
Brandon Beane mentioned that they are looking at asking some candidates that work for teams that are still playing right now in the Conference Championships.
They had a press conference today (Wednesday) this morning at the Buffalo Bills Stadium in Orchard Park, New York to announce and update fans on the changes and expectations of the Buffalo Bills.
Brandon Beane has gotten a pay raise and promotion from Terry Pegula
Tons of people and fans in Western New York are saying that Sean McDermott, if anything, should have been saved and that General Manager Brandon Beane, who is the head of the drafting should have been let go. Both McDermott and Beane both reported to Terry Pegula and now, the structure will be changed. Terry Pegula has promoted Brandon Beane and given him a bigger title and more responsibilities. Now, Brandon Beane is promoted to Head of Football Operations for the Buffalo Bills AND General Manager. Now, the head coach, whoever is hired, will report to Beane.
Who is going to be the next head coach of the Buffalo Bills? We certainly will not find out this week as Buffalo Bills are conducting interviews this week, at the least.
There are reports that the first confirmed candidate for the head coaching job in Buffalo is former Buffalo Bills assistant head coach, Anthony Lynn. Remember in 2016, Lynn was the offensive coordinator and assistant head coach for the Buffalo Bills and he was promoted to interim head coach before Terry Pegula had hired Sean McDermott. It seems like by the reactions on social media that fans would be excited and welcome Lynn with open arms. As of right now, he is working for the Washington Commanders. In addition, the Buffalo Bills are trying to interview Brian Daboll. Both have held the position of the offensive coordinators here in Buffalo, New York for the Bills.
