Isaiah McKenzie Tweets Response To Poll About Fanbases In New York
When will people ever learn? There is only one NFL football team in New York. Even the players are jumping in on the ridiculousness now.
For those of you who aren't familiar with the NFL, there are three teams that "technically" represent the state of New York. However, there is only one team that really plays there.
The New York Jets and the New York Giants got a brand new stadium a few years ago. It is incredible. It's been the home to some of the biggest concerts and events over the last couple years. It's huge too! It's got one of the biggest capacities in the NFL. They can fit over 80,000 fans there.
The fans are crazy about their teams too. Well...Jets fans are, anyway. They're probably the only team in this poll that has done less than the Bills in the past 20 years but you wouldn't know it by talking to them. The last time they made it to the playoffs was 2010. Nonetheless, they love and support their team.
There's only one problem...neither of those teams play in New York. Their stadium, MetLife Stadium is located in East Rutherford, New Jersey. So of course, it drives Buffalo Bills fans crazy when people mention that there are three teams in New York. There aren't.
That's what makes this poll from Sunday Night Football on NBC even crazier:
You know it's a sore spot when even the players jump in on it though. Buffalo Bills wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie had something to say about it:
The incredible comments didn't end there though. There is some gold in the comments section here.
