When you're a hip-hop legend like Eminem, you can pick and choose when you want to rap and with whom. As such, Marshall Mathers doesn't just hop on anyone's track or invite sub-par lyricists on his own projects (the only rappers to grace his most recent album, 2018's platinum Kamikaze, are Joyner Lucas and longtime partner-in-rhyme Royce Da 5'9"). With the reputation of excellence that Eminem has built up (rewind to his rhymes on Jay-Z's "Renegade" or Dr. Dre's "Forgot About Dre"), he only raps with artists he respects.
With more than 20 years in the game, Slim Shady is still a coveted feature. This year, only a select few have received guest verses from him. And some dope moments have resulted. Conway The Machine and Boogie (both of which are signees to his label, Shady Records), have both got one guest verse each. As did Logic, who grew up looking up to Em, and pop star Ed Sheeran, who also recruited 50 Cent for his track.
XXL rounds up all of Eminem's guest features to look back on what's been a lowkey Shady year. Does he have any more cameos in the can before 2020? Only time will tell.
"Rainy Days"Boogie Featuring Eminem
It's a Shady Records affair when Em and Boogie team up on this dark banger. Both of them bring it, with Eminem snapping in the middle of the song on a beat change.
"Homicide"Logic Featuring Eminem
These two lyricists link up and go bar-for-bar in what turns out to be quite an impressive performance. (Bonus points for the Chris D'Elia cameo.)
"Bang"Conway The Machine Featuring Eminem
Everything's a go, as this highly-anticipated Griselda and Shady collab offers a plethora of bars and a song that lives up to its own name.
"Remember the Name"Ed Sheeran Featuring Eminem and 50 Cent
This upbeat song sets Ed, Em and Fif' against a backdrop that perfectly fits all three, where they each celebrate building their own legacies.
"What If I Was Gay?"Joyner Lucas Featuring Eminem
The most controversial 2019 track to feature Eminem is actually a leak. The content of his team-up with Joyner Lucas is more genuine than the unconfirmed title may suggest, as the two MCs unpack the topic of homophobia from different vantage points.

"Lord Above"Fat Joe Featuring Eminem and Mary J. Blige
Eminem keeps a decade-old beef with Nick Cannon alive, also referencing Anderson .Paak and Tupac Shakur in a clever couplet.
