Here is the full story from the Hamburg Police Facebook:

The victim of the fatal attack at Toys R Us yesterday was Laurence Wells, a 35-year-old Blasdell resident.  Mr. Wells was the Assistant Store Manager.  The surveillance video shows what appears to be a male between about 5’9” and 5’11” enter the building at about 4:20 a.m. The video picks the suspect up at different spots throughout the store until he enters the manager’s office at about 4:30 a.m.  Shortly thereafter the video is disabled presumably from the suspect pulling the plug from the wall.

The video image is grainy but it appears that the suspect is holding a sharp instrument in his hand as he walks through the store.  The pictures here shows the suspect wearing what appear to be sweatpants with lettering down the left leg.  A jacket with a high tan collar or some sort of scarf and the hat previously identified.

No motive has been determined at this point.   The video has been sent for enhancement and the recovered hat is being tested for DNA.  Anyone who recognizes the suspect’s clothing or has any information that could be useful is asked to call police at 648-5111 ext. 0 or Detective Scott Kashino at 648-5118 ext. 2672.
