Get Free Personal Protective Gear this Afternoon

This afternoon (May 28), Betty Jean Grant will be distributing personal protective gear for free.

According to a press release from Betty Jean Grant, the former Erie County Legislator will be distributing free PPE. Starting at 12:30 pm, Betty Jean will be giving out the items at the Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority's Marine Drive Apartments, located in downtown Buffalo. She will also be sharing information on how residents can help stop the spread of COVID-19. The apartments, located on the west side, have a large elderly population, which have been categorized as more susceptible to contracting COVID-19 and dying from it.

Betty Jean and her organization We Are Women Warriors will give out the items. Masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer will be distributed to city residents for free (while supplies last). The giveaway is co-sponsored by Fillmore District Council Member Mitch Nowakowski.
