Don't look now, but fall is right around the corner in Western New York and that means that the Halloween season is coming up shortly in Western New York.

You may have heard that House of Horrors and Haunted Catacombs closed its doors for good this past summer, which is sad for trill-seekers in Buffalo, but the other hugely popular haunted house in Buffalo is returning this fall after not taking place in 2020.

Frightworld has been teasing its return the past couple of weeks, including a brand new location for the 2021 season. They revealed that location on Friday.

Frightworld will be taking place at 1001 Hertel Ave. in North Buffalo (the old Kmart location).

Frightworld says they will be making additional announcements regarding auditions and ticket sales, so that should be coming shortly.

Frightworld held its haunted attraction on Niagara Falls Blvd. across from the Home Depot (the old Walmart) in 2019 and didn't hold its annual event last fall due to the pandemic.

Frightworld is such a fun event for those who enjoy getting scared. I personally love haunted houses and everything that comes along with them. It's hard to describe but there's something exciting about haunted houses and the comradery that you have with family and friends once inside.

My guess is that we're about a month away from Frightworld opening its doors for the Halloween season in Buffalo. I can't wait.
