Former Buffalo Sabres Player Sells Gorgeous Million-Dollar Clarence Home [PICS]
The Buffalo Sabres have certainly not been the talk of the town over the past decade. They have not made the playoffs since 2011 and have finished dead-last multiple times over the course of that playoff drought.
Hockey fans in Buffalo reminisce about the days of 2005-2007, and that dream run in 1999. That's the year the Sabres went all the way to game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Dallas Stars.
You remember goaltender Dominik Hasek leading that team, but one of the best players on that roster was defenceman, Richard Smehlik.
Smehlik was one of the most consistent defensive defenceman in the NHL and played for the Sabres from 1994-2002. He was a force on the backend.
Buffalo Business First is reporting that Smehlik and his wife have sold their Clarence home for one million dollars.
This gorgeous home features four bedrooms and six bathrooms, with its own outdoor swimming pool and patio. The kitchen is huge and the living areas feature tons of space.
It also has quite the space in the front and backyards. The home fits the feel of East Amherst and Clarence, which is where many current and past Buffalo Sabres players have called home.
