This week could possibly be the toughest week yet for the winter season and that trend of cold and snow continues on Thursday and Friday.

According to WGRZ, more snow will work its way into Western New York on Thursday morning and lasting throughout the day, as a snow system glances the region. The heaviest snow will remain south of Western New York but a couple inches could fall by Thursday night.

More snow will be in store for Friday but likely tapering off with lake enhanced snow showers lasing into Saturday.

All in all, 2-4 inches of snow should fall for most of the region by Friday and 4-7 inches south of Buffalo by Saturday, with those lake enhanced showers helping those totals.

The temperatures will remain pretty cold until Sunday and Monday. In fact, Monday is our next chance to be above the freezing mark for the first time in two weeks! That's pretty surreal and shows just how cold February has been.

It will also be one week until March by Monday, so as small as it may be, there is a glimmer of light at the end of the cold and dark tunnel...
