Driver Charged In Fatal Crash In the Town of Elma

A 31-year-old man from Lancaster appeared in court on Thursday night following a fatal crash in the Town of Elma.

John Zakrzewski has been charged with DWI and vehicular manslaughter after authorities say that a three-car accident claimed the life of a 60-year-old man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and passenger of the third vehicle were treated and released by medical personnel at the scene.

Zakrzewski is currently being held on $50,000 cash, and $75,000 bond at the Erie County Holding Center. He is due back in the Town of Elma Court on Monday for a felony hearing.
