Famous Pizza Chain Should Bring a Location to the Southtowns

Buffalo is known for four big things.

The people
The snow
The Bills and Sabres
The Food

Chicken wings are the number one food in Western New York and nobody will argue with that. Next would be the beef on weck sandwich. After that, you probably get to Buffalo-Style pizza.

Buffalo-style pizza is slightly thicker than thin crust, but not as thick as the deep dish style. Ironically enough, we're about halfway between New York City and Chicago.

The pizza style here has extra cheese, a sweeter tomato sauce and cup-and-char pepperoni. It's flat-out a thing of beauty.

However, as much as we love our tons of local pizza chains, there is still a place for the national chains in Western New York. Pizza Hut briefly left in 2020 but has plans to bring locations back as a to-go operation.

Papa Johns came to Buffalo a few years back and Domino's has six locations in Buffalo.

Yes, believe it or not, Domino's has six locations in Buffalo. If you live in West Seneca, Orchard Park, Hamburg or Angola, you might be going "wait, really?"

All six of those Domino's Pizza locations are in the City of Buffalo or in the northtowns.

According to its website, Domino's has two locations in the City of Buffalo, two in Cheektowaga, one in Amherst and one in Kenmore.

I find it very strange that none are in the southtowns. That almost doesn't make any sense at all. I get wanting to be in the most densely populated part of Buffalo, which is the city and the northtowns (Kenmore, Amherst, Williamsville, Clarence), but it feels like a location or two south of Buffalo would do tremendous in business.

Come to think of it, many of the famous pizza places in Buffalo are either in the city or in the northtowns (Bocce, Macy's Place, Franco's, etc.).

Domino's has six locations for a reason, because people do enjoy it and it just so happens to be my favorite of the national chain pizzerias, and they should bring at least one location to the southtowns.
