Popular Buffalo DJ, Biker And Family Man DJ DC Lyve Passes Away

Family, friends, and fans are mourning the loss of a popular DJ and entertainer, DJ DC Lyve, America's Best Friend. Well known throughout the city and country, DC was an entertainer for decades. A true original. He was also an avid biker and member of the Zulus motorcycle club.

He had been battling cancer in recent months, bravely sharing his battle with his supporters.

He posted a message on his Facebook page from the hospital back in September of 2021, showing his faith and hope,

Once again the devil is a lie. He tried to take me out once again.. BUT,My God denied him..
Amen.

Before he was in the hospital he shared a picture of himself fighting from his hospital bed.

Most recently you could catch him at Karaoke Night at Poize Lounge. DJ DC Lyve blessed the radio station with a drop.

His daughter E'jauna Jordan shared a video of him doing his thang!

Many people deeply saddened by his passing shared their memories and messages on his Facebook wall.

Djdc Lyve it really breaks my heart to see you have passed suddenly today. When I came home from the military back in 2016. You were the first person I use to sing under at your open mics and karaoke's. You would keep telling me how unique my voice was and to push to get myself out there. Everytime I walked in one of his clubs he would throw me on the mic right away no matter who was next LOL. One of the few people who mentored me. Spoke to me about life all the time. And helped me truly believe in my own abilities. I will continue to push in life to prove everything you said to be true. My heart and prayers go out to your family. Friends. Everyone in the Buffalo community and music scene. We have been dealt a Heavy Blow.
