COVID-19 Has Fried One of Buffalo’s Bar Favorites
There's one food item across the U.S. that is not flying high due to the coronavirus pandemic. It's the one item that sells more than anything else in Bars and Clubs, during March Madness, The NBA Playoffs, the 'Big Game', etc. Can you guess what it is? If you said BEER, you would be ... incorrect.
The answer is Chicken Wings. The chicken wing business has been 'fried' by COVID-19. According to a Washington Post article, chicken wings are the most expensive part of the chicken and even more costly during the events mentioned above. The Washington Post article states that1.24 million pounds of wings were sold the week leading up to March Madness last year. March Madness was scheduled to start last week. Compared to last year at this time, specifically last week, according to the Washington Post article, only 433,000 pounds of wings have been sold.
